Stock markets create history, Nifty opens at record highs to touch 22,248 for the first time

Stock Market Opening: Today is a historic day for the stock market. The stock market hit a new record high and Nifty opened at this high level of 22,248 for the first time. The stock market has got support on the back of PSU banks and auto boom and bank stocks are also flying. IT and media shares have declined. Stocks of PSU companies continue to rally, along with strength in midcap and smallcap stocks are boosting the Indian stock market.

Great opening of the market

The NSE Nifty opened at a record high and for the first time it opened at 22,248, up 51.90 points or 0.23%. The BSE Sensex opened 210.08 points or 0.29% higher at 73,267.

Out of 50 stocks in Nifty, 31 stocks are bullish and 19 stocks are bearish. In terms of advance decline, 1478 shares are among gainers and 652 shares are among decliners on NSE. Currently 2215 stocks are trading on NSE out of which 68 stocks are witnessing upper circuit and 107 stocks are trading at their 52 week high levels.

Stock position of Sensex

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 14 stocks are trading higher and 16 stocks are trading lower with JSW Steel being the top gainer.

Increase in the market capitalization of the market

The market capitalization of BSE has increased to Rs 3.92 lakh crore today.

Bank Nifty surges sharply

Bank stocks are witnessing a huge upswing and today it touched the level of 47363. Currently it is at the level of 47277, up 180 points. Eight out of 12 Bank Nifty stocks are trading higher and ICICI Bank is the top gainer up 1.23 percent.
