155 Indian companies created about 125,000 jobs in the United States

As many as 15 Indian companies have invested 3 billion in the US and created 1,4,000 jobs, according to a report. The survey, conducted by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), found that about 15 of the companies operating in most of the US states.

A large number of employees in Indian companies are finding direct employment in states like Texas, California, New Jersey, New York and Florida. NRIs living in India have made significant contributions to the United States in the cultural, economic and scientific fields. The highest foreign direct investment of Indian companies was in cities like Texas, New Jersey, New York, Florida, the report said.

As many as 12 Indian companies have more than 3 billion in FDI in the United States. The five states with the highest number of jobs provided by Indian companies are Texas (18), California (21), New Jersey (303), New York (218) and Florida (4).

Of the 12 companies surveyed, 8% said they intend to increase their investment in the United States. 4% of companies want to increase domestic recruitment in the next five years.

The survey also noted that the US is becoming a preferred investment destination for Indian companies.

A CII official said the US government needed to provide a supportive environment to keep Indian companies investing more and more.
