Strength in gold and silver: Rupee strengthens against major currencies

At home, gold and silver prices remained firm on the back of global markets. World markets saw gold fluctuate by five dollars while silver saw a modest improvement. The dollar index, which was better than expected, saw an increase in the dollar index. The rupee strengthened against major currencies in the domestic currency market. China's PMI data saw a surge in copper coming in good.

In the Mumbai market, gold was trading at Rs 4.50 per 10 grams, excluding GST, at Rs 50, closing at Rs 20 and Rs 5 today. The price of 3.50 was Rs 5 to close at Rs 5. Prices with GST were quoted three per cent higher. Silver. The price of a kilogram of GST was Rs.
