The Ladakh incident has intensified the campaign for a boycott of Chinese companies and Chinese goods (BoycottChina). The government has decided that India will reduce its dependence on China and support a self-reliant India. For this, the Center has asked the industry to prepare a list of goods being procured from China.

A list of non-essential items will be ready

After receiving a detailed report from the industry, the government will identify non-essential items that can be produced locally instead of China. The industry in particular will make a list of those goods, the import of which cannot be stopped.

Demand for boycott of China all around

20 brave jawans were martyred in the Galwan Valley incident. Since the incident, the government has repeatedly said it will reduce its dependence on China under any circumstances. Similar voices are coming from the country, industry and trade associations.

The government will work on three timelines

The government is working on three timeline strategies to reduce dependence on China. Short-term, medium-term and long-term. The action to be taken in the short run will be decided according to the list that the industry will give to the government. Along with this, medium and long term sections will be provided.

The government changed its strategy

According to the report, the government has changed its strategy. The government's focus is now on the private sector. In the last two-four days, there have been more reports that contracts awarded by Chinese companies are being canceled.
