Petrol-diesel prices rise for the 11th day in a row, find out how much the price is in your city

Demand for petrol-diesel has skyrocketed after the unlock in Unlock after the lockdown. Today marks the 11th consecutive day of rise in petrol and diesel prices.

Today, the price of petrol has been hiked by 55 paise per liter while the price of diesel has been hiked by 69 paise. After the introduction of the new rates, petrol prices in the national capital have gone up to Rs 77.28 per liter and diesel to Rs 75.79 per liter.

Concerned over the way petrol and diesel prices are going up amid the Coron crisis, Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him not to raise prices at present. It is the duty and responsibility of this government to alleviate the suffering of the people and not to put them in more trouble.

MUMBAI: Brokerage firms and fintech companies have objected to market regulator SEBI's discussion paper considering all stock trading orders issued through Application Programming Interface (API) as separate trading, saying it could adversely affect the growth of such trading from India. Algo trading is considered to be an automatic buying-selling system based on algorithms. SEBI has recently said in a discussion paper that it would create a framework for regulating Algo trading by retail investors. A senior official of a brokerage firm said that monitoring of Algo trading is a need of the hour, but such an attempt could hamper the growth of Sebi Algo trading.
