The Confederation of All India Traders (CAT) has taken a step forward in its national campaign to boycott Chinese goods, 'Indian Goods, Our Pride', urging the country's traders and people to celebrate this year's Diwali on a grand scale as 'Hindustani Diwali'. According to Kat, all Indians resolve not to use any Chinese items this Diwali.
He further said that the traders of the country stand very strongly against China and Chinese goods with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the country's army to ensure that Chinese goods or agreements with Chinese companies do not further pollute the country's trade in any way.
"During this year's Diwali, our country's clay lamps and clay statues, decorative items, Indian-made bulbs and chandeliers and other items will be used," Kate said.
Similarly other festivals like Rakshabandhan and Janmashtami will also be celebrated in accordance with Indian culture using only Indian items. No trader of the country sells any kind of Chinese goods in India.
Kate urged traders not to import goods from China and said that if any trader had stock of such Chinese goods, he should sell them by July 15. The money that people spend to buy Chinese goods is used by China against our army or by Pakistan to help Pakistan in carrying out terrorist activities in India.
CAT National President Mr. B.C. In a joint statement, Bhartiya and National General Secretary Shri Praveen Khandelwal said, “Over the last few years, the intrusion of Chinese items into our Indian festivals has increased which is very much needed to curb in the wider interest of the country.
At a time when China is aggressively deploying its troops on the Ladakh border and building a base in neighboring Nepal to encircle India with its troops, a boycott of Chinese goods would be the right answer for China.
Both praised the central and several state governments and justified the government's decision to ban the entry of Chinese goods into the country or to suspend various agreements given to Chinese companies.
