Bharatpay has filed a complaint against Grover and his wife Madhuri Jain and their families for fraud of Rs 88 crore. Madhuri Jain was earlier Head of Controls at Bharatpay. The company has filed a complaint against him under Section 420 of the IPC.
The company alleges that Ashneer and Madhuri embezzled 88 crores by listing false bills, false vouchers of the company's services and fake vendors. Ashneer and Madhuri had to leave Bharatpay due to this allegation. After the company conducted an internal investigation, these allegations were found to be true and finally a police complaint was registered.
