Despite the war with Ukraine, Russia claimed a record 150 million tons of grain production, 59 million tons of Ukraine's wheat was stolen.

Moscow, December 15, 2022, Thursday
Russia has been at war with the neighboring country Ukraine for the last 9 months. War does not result and economic losses are incurred. Ukraine has a well-developed agricultural sector, especially sunflowers. Many types of grains are also grown but due to the war situation, agriculture has been disrupted. On the other hand, it has been claimed by Minister of Agriculture Dimitry Patrushev that Russia has broken the record of grain production.
During a hearing in the Russian Parliament, 15.9 million tons of grain was produced, which is more than the target of 15 million tons. The US space agency NASA reported in November based on satellite images that Russia has cut 5.9 million tons of wheat from the Ukrainian occupied territory. Which is worth 1 billion euros in the international market.

However, according to one information, even if we exclude the wheat harvested from Ukraine, the figure given by the Minister of Agriculture of Russia is a record breaker. Last year, 12 crore tonnes of food grains were produced. Before that, in 2017, 13.5 crore tonnes of grain was ripened, which was a record so far. The Minister of Agriculture, giving detailed information, said that not only grain, soybean, linseed, potato, vegetables and fruits have also been produced more.
Russia, with its vast territory, is one of the world's largest grain exporters. Russia has cut 59 lakh tons of wheat from the Ukrainian occupied area. Good or poor grain production in Russia affects the world grain market.

Grain exports from Ukraine via the Black Sea route had been falling for months this year due to the war situation. Due to lack of food grains in the international market, India also stopped the export of food grains. Since India is a country with large families, there is a need for grains at home. Hence, there is always a rise in India's grain exports.
Grain production increases but exports are not as high as in Russia and Ukraine. There are a total of 30 countries in the world that depend on Russia and Ukraine for grain. Record grain production in Russia is a good sign for the world grain market.
