Some political observers believe that the Modi government will never be able to take revenge for the insult done to the country by the PLA forces of China by invading the Indian territory in March-April 2020. In an earlier article I wrote,

“Modi must have felt guilty for failing to understand what was going through Xi Jinping's mind when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was swinging with Xi Jinping on October 11, 2019 at Malalapuram in Tamil Nadu. While both the leaders were enjoying the swing on one side, on the other hand, the PLA of China was moving ahead with its plan to invade Indian territory. The order for this military action was signed by Xi Jinping on January 1, 2020. In March-April 2020, PLA forces crossed the LAC and entered Indian territory.

In an all-party meeting convened on 19 June 2020, the Prime Minister concluded his statement by saying, "No outsider has intruded into Indian territory." One would like to believe this statement of the Prime Minister, but many say that his statement is far from the truth. There is evidence.

Forgotten events

The Prime Minister believes that the people of the country have forgotten the turbulent days. They are right. People seem to have forgotten the demonetisation, the lockdown implemented without warning, the mass exodus of workers during the Corona period, the lack of oxygen and finally the Morbi tragedy.

How China gets the urge to intrude at a time and place of its own choosing is a big question. Declaring that the issue was sensitive, Parliament refused to discuss it. This is a common fact of parliamentary democracy where sensitive issues are not allowed to be discussed.

Parliament may be rejected but the people cannot be rejected.

People should remember that-

- Even after several rounds of talks, China has not accepted anything.

- China has denied discussing the withdrawal of forces from the Depsang and Demchok areas. According to a report, Chinese forces are still stationed on the Indian side of the LAC.

- From Eastern Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh, the Chinese army has not only strengthened its presence, but also built facilities like roads, bridges, helipads, etc.

- The US has declared that it has seen the deployment of Chinese forces on the LAC.

November 2020 Prime Minister Modi met Xi Jinping at the G-20 summit. Video clippings of these two leaders shaking hands and muttering can be seen.

Business transactions still ongoing

Despite China's hostile behavior towards India, India exports to China four times more than it imports from there. The trade deficit with China stood at $73 billion in the financial year 2021-22. 174 Chinese companies are registered in India. There are 3560 companies in India that have Chinese nationals as directors. The government's claim of reducing trade with China proves to be hollow.

China does not play the game in the air, but in trickery. In the Chinese game a player has to either go forward or step aside. The player can jump, but only forward. The original Chinese game is to drag the player forward and trap them.

Since the government is in the dark about the game being played by China, it wants to keep the Parliament and the people in the dark. And that is why what Modi discussed with Xi Jinping in Bali and no discussion in Parliament.
