This luxury house has more than 70 brands. Bernad entered the luxury goods market in 1984. He acquired a textile group that also included Christian Dior.

Bernard was born on March 5, 1949 in Robex, France. His full name is Bernard Jean Etienne Arnault. Father Jean Leon Arnault was a manufacturer. Bernard initially attended Roubaix. Lys Maksens graduated from Vander Merch University. In 1971, he obtained a degree in engineering from Ecole Polytechnique Pasleau, Paris.

After his studies, he joined his father's civil engineering company Ferret Savinel. Advising his father to make some changes in the company, the company began to progress rapidly. In 1976, his father's company gained 40 million dollars due to Bernard's efforts. The father recognized the qualities of the son and created the real estate company Ferinal. In 1981, French Socialists came to power during the change of power in France. The government expelled the Arnault family from France. After deportation, the family members settled in America.
