India's crude oil demand will surpass China

Mumbai, Ta. 11 January 2020, Saturday

In the middle of this year, the demand for oil in India will increase to such an extent that it will overtake China in terms of consumption. International Energy commented on the future sentiment that India needs more investment in the refinery sector on the one hand, and on the other hand, the crisis in West Asia is constantly threatening to cut oil supply. So in the next four years, the demand for oil in the country will rise to six million barrels per day.

Still, the demand for oil in the country was 5.7 million barrels a day. On the one hand, oil is widely consumed and production in the country has increased marginally. Because of this, India will be the sole and only importer of oil supply.

The tensions prevailing in West Asia, which have become so prevalent in India at present, have only worsened. Now, even in the face of such a troubling crisis, it is not difficult to imagine why a developing country like India will be in place. On the one hand, the demand for oil in the country is increasing day by day.

On the other hand, the situation where oil supply is lost is often becoming the headline of newspapers. Even though tensions in West Asia are now declining, the Brent crude prize has dropped to seventy dollars. Like other countries in Asia, India relies on West Asia for oil.

About 5% of the country's oil supply crosses the Gulf of Hormuz. International Energy Agency writes India an attractive investment for refinery investment. In terms of consumption, India is now behind only the US and China. In the next six months, China's oil demand figures will gradually decline and the gap will widen year by year.
