Ravi crop area double-digit growth

This season, the number of sowing areas of wheat, rice, and maize has increased by two figures this season. The total sowing area of rabi crop has increased to 4 lakh hectares this weekend. Last year, it was 1.8 lakh in the same period.

In Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra, wheat is expected to grow more this year than last year. Last year, wheat crop was planted in 2.5 lakh hectares of land.
Over the past year, many farmers have opted for pulse crops in the current year. Last year, 1.8 lakh hectares of land was planted in this year against 1.1 lakh hectares. A total of 3 lakh hectares of land will be harvested of pulses, but the acreage of chickpeas has increased by 8%. The farmers of Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka who have not taken Chana crop will be compensated by the farmers of Maharashtra and Rajasthan with more crop.
In fact, the farmers of the country have increased the acreage of most crops, including oilseeds, wheat, rice, maize, various pulses and sorghum compared to last year. Water storage is also satisfactory in reservoirs across the country. According to data released by the Central Water Commission, this year, there was 1.8 billion cubic meters of water this weekend.
