A source familiar with the matter said the job of other employees working for the Oyo hotel is also at risk, saying that after seeing the company's Chinese performance, five per cent of its employees were shown a way out, 12 per cent of people in India were hired.

It is worth mentioning here that Oyo Hotels had about 12 thousand employees in China, while in India there were 10 thousand employees, it is said that the company will hire more than 1200 people in three months, Oyo has long been saying that due to lack of work skills. Employees are being laid off.

Oyo's sales, supply and operations divisions have seen the most layoffs, it is also said that there is no hope of filling a vacant position in Oyo.

According to an official of the company, due to technical development the work has been reduced, hence the workforce is being laid, he said that people are being shifted to other departments too.

It is noteworthy that Oyo's growth rate was good, but due to customer complaints over the past few years its image has worsened, with customers complaining that the owners of this hotel chain are not behaving well.

The soft bank has also invested heavily in it with great hope, but has suffered a huge loss in the last financial year due to bad image, the annual salary of employees who have been discharged is Rs 10-12 lakh.
