Reliance Jio's July-September profit jumps 28% to Rs. 4518 crores

Reliance Jio, the country's largest telecom company, has announced its second quarter results today. Reliance Jio Infocomm's profit rose 28 percent year-on-year in the July-September quarter.

In the results announced late on Friday, Reliance Group company Jio Infocomm said that in this quarter, the company had Rs. 4518 crores profit has been made. Net profit in the corresponding period of the previous financial year was Rs. 3528 crores.

The telecom company with the largest number of users said in a regulatory filing that the company's operating income grew by 20.2 percent to Rs. 22,521 crore, which is Rs. 18,735 crores.

Apart from this, the EBITA of the company is Rs. 10,964 crore to Rs. 11,489 crores and the EBITA margin increased to 51% from 50.1%.

Average revenue per user (ARPU), the most important for a telecom company, Jio's ARPU per month during the September quarter stood at Rs. 175.7 per subscriber, showing a growth of 27 percent year-on-year and 4.8 percent on a quarterly basis.

It may be mentioned here that earlier this month, Mukesh Ambani-led Jio announced that it has started beta trial of 5G services in four cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi from October 5.
